Great campground and site was very nice. This campsite has a big area with great grill and sitting area. Showers and bathrooms are close.

Reserved b-7. Good site with views of lake but not much shade. Fairly quiet with lite traffic. Cons : Site was very unlevel, had to use 4 inches under outside wheels to level and had dead rotten tree on site...

Dry nice and quite most of the time. Had someone there with a barking dog, but other than that, had a great time.

Rocky Point Campground is a nice, well-kept campground. There are several campsites on or near the water. The playground is one of the best we have seen. The camp host was a very pleasant, informative gentleman. It was a pleasure visiting with him. The only issue is the trails. There are two trailheads marked on the campground map, but no map of the trails themselves. The main trail, Shady Harbor Trail, connects Rocky Point Campground to its sister park, Piney Point. It was a short but interesting trail. I understand keeping nature as is as much as possible, but this trail could use some clean up for safety issues. There is quite a bit of water to walk through or around. In one place, stones had been placed to walk across. I would suggest that be done in the other low areas. At one point, there was a clearing where the trail on the other side was not clear. The other "trail," Cat Squirrel Nature Trail, was the shortest trail we have ever "hiked." This would be a great starter trail for young children and would be much more interesting with some informative markers/interesting signs for them to follow. Basically, it was a circle drive. All-in-all, we will camp at Rocky Point again but not for the trails.
