The campground at Clear Springs never disappoints. The camp host is always helpful, facilities are always in good working order.

Very relaxing had a great time very comfortable for the shelter that we rented plenty of room had electricity even watched football games on Sunday

Both me and my girl had a GREAT time. Staff super helpful, park awesome, cabin was clean and as expected. Nothing noteworthy except for our own personal comforts next time we rent and we'll be be renting again.

We spend 2 weeks twice a year. We always reserve C13. The door has always been an issue but this time it was awful. We had to manhandle to open or make it close. We saw workers at another door so I asked them to come and look. They screwed in hinges and it helped some but not much. The worker complained that people tear them up and let them slam back. There is no spring so if you open door and the wind gets it, it flies back. They said they had to replace them all the time. We have been staying there as I said for about 4 years. The door has not been replaced in that time frame as we can identify by the shredded duct tape all over it. The breakers blow if you have two items plugged in and running at the same time.Would be awesome if someone could blow the ceiling fans periodically. They are thickly covered in spider webs and dirt.Ants were an issue. There are beds that abut the concrete pad.There is still no light in the pole over the boat ramp. Would be great if we could see when we put the boat in early morning.The refurbished dock is wonderful!!

We reserve C13 a couple times a year and stay 2 weeks at a time. This is a stone/concrete hut with awning covered porch. Picnic table on porch. Ceiling fan and metal table inside.
Pros: Fabulous sunsets, close to home, price
Cons: No restroom close
Door was covered in posterboard in the past. They repaired by adding the cheapest handle they could find which does not have a lock. The prior door did. I know if someone wanted in this would not stop them but it gives some idea of security.
For the numerous years we have stayed here, the "street" light above the dock has not been in operation.
The courtesy dock/pier is great but the walkway to get there has many rotted and missing boards. We could not allow our 4 year old to walk out there. It is not deep. It seems would be easily repaired.
All in all the stay was good and enjoyed visiting with old and new friends.

My experience on this visit was special because I have never camped during the Christmas holiday before. The weather was cold but the atmosphere was very tranquil and the view of Lake wright patman along with the deer ?? and squirrels ??? was outstanding. I would recommend camping there very highly.
Clear springs campground is my favorite area on wright patman , although Rocky Point and Piney Point are nice areas to visit as well.

We reserve the shelter, C13, which includes electricity inside and out, ceiling fan and metal table inside and picnic table under covered porch on outside. Fire pit and grill outside. This time we stayed 11 days.Pros- beautiful sunsets at this areaCons- screens dirty and dead bugs in window sealsWe have rented this for years now and storm door was cracked in past. It must have totally broken because now the bottom part has a poster board duct taped.Ceiling fan must need oil or barrens going out because it makes a horrible sound. When you let it run for a while it quietens to a whistling sound.The water pump did not work. Had to take the cover off the ground spigot and twist to use water.Lights on poles at boat ramp and other areas did not work.
