Kimbel Bend Park was nice enough with plenty of potential. The sites were large and each had a metal shelter. Two issues detracted from the experience. Lack of maintenance and the shower rooms. The grass was so tall. The hosts said the grass was cut every 4 weeks. We question that as the grass was tall when we arrived and other campers said it was long when they arrived. And it was still untouched when we left 3 weeks later. The four toilet/shower rooms did not have lights in them. So daytime use only or bring your own light. There was a worker that came through a couple times a week. One time she swept cob webs off the shelters of a few sites. Another time she moves a few metal fire rings around. The shower rooms were never cleaned and the grass was 6 to 8 inches tall in many places.

It was a good experience for our Cub Scout pack. They enjoyed fishing camping and cooking. Cell reception needs to be better for T. Mobile. Had 1 bar some. Of the time.

A pretty park with RV sites spaciously placed apart from neighbors. Didn't have sewer hookups, but had a dump station. Traffic noise when autos crossed the bridge, was noticeable but after the first couple of days, we became used to the road noise. Would definitely stay there again!

Grass is a little high. Need to mow more often.
