The campsites were great. However the restrooms were gross and there is no light in them. It was dark and dreary.

The truck noise from the bridge was so bad we left after one night, The host were nice people and helpfull to get us out of there. The park should be closed till they get the new bridge in. From what I understand it will be three years. Just down the road the road is a campground Plowman creek great place.

The noise from the bridge was constant. The info included a hiking trail and swimming in the park and there was neither. Was great for kayaking! Could launch from campsite. Really did enjoy the park. T-mobile, no service at all!!

We enjoyed our stay at Kimball Bend. We were able to collect pecans from our campsite, we saw big tracks in the mud and were told they were mountain lion tracks. Even thought we might have seen a big cat in the tall grass!? The park was clean. We never saw a park attendant but had no trouble locating our site. We didn't use the bathrooms. Had fun examining the remains of the ghost town buildings.

Quite peaceful place with shade. Unfortunately there was a problem with a water line and we were with out water for a time and then I had to flush the line at our site for a good while to clear up the muddy water. We enjoyed our stay. Would come back there again to camp.

This was our second time at kimball bend. Everything was good. Our only complaint would be that it needed to be mowed . There was a lot of debris in the river but that wasnt the parks fault.. We would go back.

We had a great weekend. We were a little bummed that we couldn't have a fire, but that was okay. The park is a little noisy, where it is located, and our space next to the bridge, although scenic, was a little louder than I like when camping. The restrooms were clean, people were friendly and relaxed. If I had it to do over, I'd camp farther from the road, but overall it was a good experience.
