Staff is friendly and facilities are clean and well maintained. Only minus was humans not managing yappy dogs. River was difficult to fish because of low flows and cloudy water, but that is temporary. Another good COE experience!

We love this campground, just right size. Clean facilities, friendly staff and guests! Sites are all level, and nice size

My family and friends have enjoyed camping at Longbranch for years. However, this time was disappointing for several reasons. The campground host (Ken) appears to act in many roles…check in, check out, campground rules enforcement, and making up new campground rules. Fairly close to the campground entrance is a very, very crowded public boat launch for the very popular Caney Fork River. Rental companies and individuals owning their own equipment launch from this location by the groves! This has always been one of the reasons we have enjoyed Longbranch, as they have what has always been considered a campground launch, which is less crowded and allows us to carry out kayak from our campsite just steps away. As I mentioned, we have done this for years. This time though, the campground host showed up with his clipboard and announced that this launch area is for fishing only and not for campers to use as a kayak launch. When we tried to explain that we were paying campers, his sole concern was to know our campsite number (he wrote this down on his clipboard.) He responded that we should have seen the sign saying no launch allowed, for fishing only. When we walked back up the steps we pointed out that there was no such sign. He then responded that a sign had been requested, but not yet installed. This certainly created what I considered a significant inconvenience for us to have to launch at the very crowed public launch full of people, watercraft and cars…filling the parking lot.
Other inconveniences…barking dogs (for hours), no TV reception, poor cell service, no kayak trailer allowed on even one blade of grass, only one dump site, trash at entrance, not at exit. Do I need to list more? Camp host was most disappointing part of this experience for sure! We are not sure we will submit ourselves to this abuse again. We are older (mature) adults and were unfortunately treated like children abusing the system.
