Great campground with many waterfront sites. It is not close to any interstate, so it is definitely a get away. The bath houses are clean and the grounds are well maintained. Lovely campground.

A great park to relax, go kayaking or fish. Also a marina at the entrance to rent a boat. Everyone at the campground and marina were very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant at the marina had very good pizza.

A peaceful experience as always with beautiful views of the water and leisurely walks around the well kept campground. The only negative comment is the bear gap trail was not maintained. At the beginning of the trail from Defeated Creek campground had low over hanging brush.

Great weekend. Very lovely campsite. Park ranger as well park host and sheriff department made frequently rounds. Very safe and secure.

we go to DC every year in mid September. It is our favorite place in Tennessee. This past year it started out with a tornado. The park officials were amazing and emergency vehicles were there in minutes. The next morning, tree cutting service showed up and worked long hours to make things right. my only criticism would be the bath house near 84. The showers need updating as well as the toilets. But still, we love to camp here.

This park is great. Campsite was huge; great view of the lake. It was early September when we stopped so not busy. Very quiet and relaxing. We only did an overnight stop this time, but the campground is on our list for a return visit.
