We really enjoyed our visit at Defeated. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well supplied. While walking around the park, we noticed how clean the park was. This was our second visit here and we will come back.

For the most part our recent experience was as usual; fantastic. Other than continually finding it extremely hard to get a reservation for more than 3-4 days at a time, we love Defeated Creek and its staff. Of concern this time was severe weather and not really having a well defined contingency plan. TV reception is poor and cell phone reception is "iffy" depending on your site. With severe weather in the forecast, I asked at the gate if the campground had any means to inform camper of approaching tornadoes, etc. The answer I was given was "just watch what everyone else is doing." To me, this answer gave me no comfort or feeling of security for my family. When it come to severe weather, campgrounds have the same dangers as trailer parks and they don't mix well. Have some prior plan may save many lives one day.

We love this campground the sites are convient to the water lots of easy access shore line to pull the boat up on.
be aware the playground is sand and you will want sand shoes/toys. Great biking campground good places to hang a hammock or slackline.
