There were too many tame deer everywhere! We brought our large dog with us. This was the first time our dog has seen a deer and we spent the entire time trying to run off the deer that would walk right up to us. Our dog was anxious and struggled against the leash the entire time trying to get at the deer. If you have dogs, I do not recommend camping here. Its horrible that they are not managing the wildlife there.

My wife and I arrived at 10:30 am and as soon as we pulled up to the host gate, she had a very disgusted look on her face. She quickly and arrogantly told me to pull over to the over full lot to wait 4 hours to check in because the policy stated (on the paperwork, had I read it, as she said) that check in was at 3pm. I pulled our 40 foot fifth wheel into our rented site, since it practically was right next to the spot she pointed out, and waited but was not setting up. Her husband drove down and he was ready to fight, I actually thought I may have to defend myself. Anyway, whether or not I made this mistake, the way we were treated was like a school kid that had made the same mistake 50 times before. He began telling me about all the other campers that try to get in before time and all their excuses, ( I DON'T CARE ABOUT OTHER CAMPER STORIES), as I was only one to me. It was very obvious that they were NOT going to "take care of the customer" but rather, stick to the rule. All of this said and done, our camp spot was available and cleaned, as it had not be rented the day before but the rule took precedence over COMMON SENSE. We arrived on a Monday morning when everything was calm and not busy at all. Every excuse the gave for the "rule" made no sense for that particular situation, the fact was, they were just mad and everything about them showed it. The ranger came and he was very nice although he also stuck to the rule but, he did allow us to occupy the site at 12 noon because that too was written in the rules. So, we had to ,wait by this time, 20 minuets until the clock hands struck noon. WOW, to say the least, our time there had been so tainted with poor customer service and the complete lack of reasonableness, that our entire stay was very less than desirable. The park is beautiful and the contract cleaning company does a wonderful job with everything. I'm sure host are hard to get but these guys need customer training.

Everything went well except the code to get in the gate. We did not receive the code in our conformation text. And there was many others in the same boat. We had to contact some campers for the code. We like Defeated very well

The campsites were really nice. The campgrounds were spectacular. There were so many deer everywhere. There were plenty of places to fish from the land. We loved it!
