We stayed on Site 71 in a 40 Class A. The site was not level either from-to-back or side-to-side, so bring leveling gear. Verizon connectivity was spotty for Internet but we had no problem making and receiving calls or texting from the site. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much. The site sits on a knoll above the lakeshore, so you cant view the shoreline from the site but the lake view is unobstructed. We really enjoyed watching the fish leap in the lake in the morning. We did have a couple of skunks wander through the site after sundown once or twice, but if you just keep still they go on about their business. The site is well-shaded. All hookups functioned well; having a FHU waterfront site was a real treat! The bath houses were generally clean, a little less so on the weekends. The maintenance crews were highly visible and very friendly, we appreciate the hard work that is done to keep Defeated Creek an exceptional COE location.

A great place to camp!! We were in site #71 which is one of the best sites in the campground. A very safe place also as the sheriff department comes through the campground. Great place great folks!!

Loved this campground! Spacious open and beautiful spot right on the river! Really appreciated being able to hook my camper up to grey/black water at the campsite. Only improvements that could make this experience better would to have paved campsites instead of gravel and mulch instead of sand on the playground.

The nicest campground I have ever seen! No kidding! Large campsites, green grassy mowed lawns, and a beautiful river. Many trees! Most sites only have electric and water. A few have sewer. But we love Defeated Creek!

Love Defeated. Please ask hosts or groundskeepers to trim back flower bushes at gatehouse. When leaving scratched the side of our black truck!
