I was pleased with the campground itself and enjoyed exploring the nearby towns. I love that there is a grocery store to the north only about seven minutes and a couple of good restaurants, but I think it should have been disclosed that the lake is receded 100 feet or more from the campsites. The picture of the campsite online showed the water being closer to the site. When I arrived, I was a bit shocked to see that it looks like a tsunami had come through and deposited full-size trees and debris all along the beach (107). The sites further to the east didnt have the debris, but still have the receded Shoreline. They also need a trashcan near the boat launch, people just left their trash on the ground or threw it in the water, sardine cans etc.

Always enjoy staying at Obey River Campground, one of our very favorite campgrounds. Always neat and clean, friendly people always there to help and Dale Hollow Lake to enjoy the whole time.
