This campsite has changed from 1st come--1st served to assigned sites. It was a bit of a problem for me that not everyone is on board yet since someone else took my assigned site & I took a different site. I didn't mind accommodating their desire to have three sites that connected together for their large group, but I worried that someone would arrive to the site I ended up "borrowing" & demand that I move. Other than that, the facilities were well kept, there were very few people staying on the weekdays and I had the entire place to myself on one of the days I was there. There are attractive walks connecting to the camp area which even I (with disabilities) could walk. wiFi access was the worst of any place I have ever stayed (couldn't even get satellite connection) so be prepared for that but if you want to get away from the world, this is the place to do it.

This place is a gem. Hiking, kayaking, off-roading, local history and much more. The campsite is peaceful with a beautiful creek round along the side. An absolute well maintained and strategically located treasure. Don’t forget to visit the local breweries just minutes away. Enjoy!

Overall a very clean campground with nice tent pads and I especially appreciate the food vaults. The toilets need a bit of freshening. Ranger Gibbs at the visitor center was especially knowledgeable and helpful.
The campground is primitive with no running water or electricity (even in the restroom building). But, it is beautiful with the river running and the sounds of nature everywhere!

Family and I had a blast. Plan ahead, don’t forget to pack your water and firewood.
This is the perfect scenic campground! Steps away from the river and very peaceful. The toilets don’t have running water but were very clean. Great place to stay if your off-roading to Nemo Tunnel.

I loved my visit to the Obed and really enjoyed the Rock Creek Campground. I went on a nighttime hike that was led by ranger Rick, and it was the highlight of my trip! I highly recommend.
Toilets are primitive with no flush but the site is excellent. We had hiking plans and it went well. Google maps took a really lonely and gravel route just to save a few minutes so make sure you don't follow Nemo road of travelling from west of wartburg if you don't have all wheel drive. Instead follow the genesis road which is paved and cuts accross beautiful country site. Site is right next to a creek and night star gazing is not possible from camp area. But a short half mile hike connects the bridge the night sky can be enjoyed.

Great site, you cant beat the price, I would come back. Location is great for Jeepers wanting to explore Nemo Tunnel, Potters Falls great hiking and Catoosa. Very picturesque!! Bathrooms are the only downside-no lights and a bit nasty, but overall it wouldn't stop me coming back. Booking the site was easy, the bear boxes are pretty big, metal picnic table and a combined firepit and BBQ. Tent pad is a bit rocky so bring padding for your tent. Sleeping on rocks is no fun. Can't wait to go back!!
Very pleasant site near the river, and adjacent to nice trails. I thought site #1 was the only vacant site--it is marked as the handicap site, and is a very poor site with a rocky pad. Fortunately, I found a vacant site behind which is not visible from the road. It was site 11 and a great site. I thought #12 was taken with a name on the post, but it stayed empty for 3 days, so I assume the last camper never took their tag off it. Parking is very tight, and some places are challenging with a full sized vehicle.
Campground was very clean and well kept. There's a trailhead and river access. This is an alternate take out for Nemo. Get your reservation before you arrive as there is very spotty cell service.
Great spot, sites were tight but thankfully it was quiet!

I’ll cut some slack because of the pandemic year. This campground is small and nice. Right on the river. Only issues were the all night every night local derby around the campground with radios up. And no ranger came by at all to confirm reservations and a few of the people I spoke to said they just camped for free. None of this is a big deal to me but some people may lose their minds with all the lawlessness. Oh yeah and the worst by far was that because no one checked in on the facility for the week we were there, there was no toilet paper the entire time we were there. Again not the end of the world bc we were prepared but I saw too many people go in to poo only to scream for help (toilet paper) or worse come out with one less garment than they went in with
It’s a small campground with just a few sites, and the sites are spaced well enough that it doesn’t feel crowded even when full. The river is beautiful and some of the campsites abut it. The vault toilet is one of the cleaner I’ve seen. Parking is a bit tight in certain areas in a full size truck but it’s manageable.

A decent campground close to the river and accessible to lots of what the Obed offers. It can feel crowded as the sites are pretty close together. Each site has a fire ring, bear box, and picnic table. A good launching-point campsite if you plan to take advantage of other Obed activities (climbing, rafting, hiking, etc)

Amazing views of the river and nice sites to stay at. Tent pad was nice and overall campground was in great condition. Not too many sites which makes it much more relaxing than some larger campgrounds. The only thing to be aware of is that the road that takes you from the main road to the paved road in the campground is unpaved. Not sure why they just didn't finish the job but it is a very bumpy ride so be prepared for that. I passed with a Chevy Cruze but I wouldn't recommend anything less than that.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
