Take the time to drive up to the Dam overlook, I know it's not the Hoover Dam but the history behind it is amazing and the reason it was built. I am a little partial to Dale Hollow Dam since my Dad and Granddad both worked on the building of the dam along with several uncles. I'd also recommend going up to Amish Country to visit their store, I'm not sure if it's open year round or not but they have a pretty cool store with fresh vegetable's. I know there is more to do and see in the area but I'm usually there to visit family when I'm there. I do miss the old days of talking to all the old timers sitting on the court house square and talking to them while they whittle on a piece of cedar but the shop in Celina are a good way to spend an afternoon. Another recommendation would be to visit Standing Stone State Park. One last thing if you bring a boat or not go to Horse Creek or Cedar Hill Boat Dock and spend a morning fishing from the dock. even if you don't catch anything the tranquility of the lake is well worth the time.

The campground was very clean and well kept. Bathrooms were clean. A few fixes are needed - latches on stall doors, shower heads on all showers. Host was very helpful, friendly and courteous. Bathhouse and dump station convenient. Campsites convenient to pull into.

The bathrooms next to site 79 never dry out inside. The floor, even hours after cleaning, remain damp. A dehumidifier and or air conditioner should be installed to prevent mildew. The door going into that mens bathroom needs to be repaired also since it catches on the floor. Might want to remove the doorstop too.

Another washer and dryer at the other bathhouses would be great. They are a fantastic convenience and I appreciate the park for keeping them free of charge. Thank you.

....and wifi, of course. Verizon does ok for coverage in the area and its not that I want to remain connected to work but streaming old movies at night when going to sleep is very nice.

After looking at Standing Stone campground and Pleasant Grove Park and Pickwick, Dale Hollow campground is really one of the nicest in the state. Your cleaning crews and mowers do a great job.
