Such a magical, beautiful campground! Sites are spacious and well-maintained, and facilities are adequate. The long road running along the river is perfect for walking the doggo. If you're a nervous driver like me, the steep descent into the campground is a bit scary. Worth it though!

Beautiful there. Only thing that could have been better was our spot# 38 needed gravel badly. It rained a lot and we had very muddy ground when we stepped outside. We had to put mats out. We will be back though.

Lock A campground is located by Cheatham Lake / Cumberland River. Excellent location by the water without traffic noise. Boat ramp access to water above and below Cheatham Lock & Dam. Swim area. Playground. access to Cumberland River Bicentennial Trail.Met several locals camping during my stay. The facilities were clean. I camped at 3 different sites. Sites were basically clean. Trash pick up on site every day. Didnt see anyone checking sites for trash. Unfortunately someone left a few dozen cigarette butts on one camp site.

Always a great campground. Service folks are very good at cleaning up grounds and bathroom/shower facilities early.

Great place to camp! Always so much family fun and the kids love it. It was a bummer that only 1 shower worked in the women's bathroom which caused quite a wait.

Cumberland Grill had great food at a great price ! Go to top of the hill turn left on hwy 12. When you have to slow down to 45mph it's a short distance on the right

While the campsite was great, the lady's bathhouse was very unkept.

Quick, friendly and easy check-in upon arrival. Hosts Sharyll and Tom are always so nice and make time to speak to the grandkids as we pull up to the window. Site was clean and as always, the view was spectacular!!! We love coming to Lock A Campground because of the cleanliness, the friendliness, the view and the fact that it's a small campground...not so large that it's overwhelming to get around. Another very nice 'feature' is that Cheatham County Sheriff's Dept patrols the grounds, which we really like.
