Lock A is beautiful Corp of Engineers property associated with old Lock A and current Cheatham Lock & Dam along the Cumberland River. Hiking, fishing, boat ramps, cleaning stations, swimming beach, many picnic area. A few tent only sites with electric along the water, and several tv sites with electric & water. Campground is nestled under grove of large pecan trees. Staff is very courteous and helpful.

park was well maintained, our site was clean and very spacious. direct access to the river to launch kayak was perfect. Plenty of activities to occupy our time including, hiking, biking, and swimming Definately would return to this location. Cell phone and OTA TV service was excellent.

The camp hostess is very helpful and overall the facilities are ok but the bathrooms could be larger
The trees need to be looked at closely since branches continue to break off making some sites a little dangerous

Lock A is our favorite campground in Middle Tennessee. The grounds are maintained nicely, the majority of the sites are well-shaded and all are level. Ms. Cheryl, the camp host, is a very friendly and helpful lady.My only criticism is that the hand air-dryers in the women's bathhouse are very outdated and do not work very well.

This is always our favorite stop of the year. Right on the Cumberland River. The girls love riding their bikes and its a one way in, one way out place so that allows us to feel much more secure. There are deputies that drive through multiple times per day. We enjoyed our bike riding this year down to the dam and back (about 4-5 miles). There are no sewer sites here but having a waste toter clears that up. Great place for anyone, would absolutely recommend.

We go here several times a year as it is always an enjoyable experience. The campsites are large and always clean and trimmed. There is plenty of hiking and bike riding areas for entertainment or you can just sit outside and watch the river barge traffic sail by. Bathhouse is always clean and easily accessible. Campground host always meets you and is available. All around great camping experience.

Large cement sites, well maintained roads, beautiful views of Cumberland river. Best campground this summer, will come back.

Beautiful park and campsites are concrete. Camp host is very friendly and so are volunteers! Our favorite place to camp in our fifth wheel.

Love this Place. Only improvement would be to upgrade restrooms.
