Love Wild Plum. Have camped here for many, many years.Bears were a huge problem this year. They are way too acclimated to humans.Dumpsters and campsites were raided in the day time as well as nightly. Bears have broken/figured out how to open the dumpsters. So - please replace dumpsters IMMEDIATELY. Garbage strewn around the dumpsters was a big mess and attractive to many creatures. Also - I noticed there is a new type of bear box available at one or two sites. Please install in all campsites in ADDITION TO existing bear boxes. One bear box is not big enough to fit food & multiple ice chests that most families bring camping.

My family has been coming to Wild Plum for 30+ years. The campground setting is glorious.Having experienced last years lack of a campground host, we packed a broom & T. P. just in case. Im happy to report the bathrooms were cleaner this year. However, the host went missing for a little more than 2 days during our stay. With no alternative available, this definitely caused issues. The reservation signage was not updated, no shows were left as reserved & the campsites were not updated to open the sites, resulting in lots of confusion. The few remaining walk in sites were not well marked. Unfortunately friends were required to move to a different site. Not an insurmountable job but the camp host could have handled it better. I know he reduced two women to tears and it was only due to her brothers intervention they were given an alternative site for the night.A bigger issue is campfires. No action was taken regarding the size of campfires during a time of extreme drought and dryness. Some of the campfires were enormous.

the campground was wonderful - well maintained, quiet, large shady sites, right on the creek, close to hiking trails and near the lakes region. All around excellent location and experience.
