Camp host was great place was as clean as could be expected. Dumpsters all full and trash laying around them. The place was a crowded as a small city. When is the USFS going to enforce their rules. Some single sites had as many as 20 people and 4 cars parked in them. Cars parked in the dirt wherever they could put them. No point in having rules if not enforcing them! People washing all dishs and pots and pans at water spigots. USFS on two different days going thru the campground with leaf blowers blowing dust everywhere. Its the forest for gods sake, its dusty enough! If you want to go to basically a homeless camp this is the place for you

The sites are roomy and beautiful and the lake is absolutely gorgeous. The camp host and his wife are lovely!

Great and clean facility. Lake offers good fishing and recreational activities and within a short drive of both Truckee and Reno. Single, double and triple sites available. Only negative, Friday and Saturday night crowds can be loud into the early morning hours and certain hosts (each loop has its own host) seem to shelter in place and allow it. We stay in Iron Ox loop every year and the hosts who have been there the last couple years are fantastic.

Camping at local bus terminal would give you same experience. VERY noisy generators running all day long (even after 10pm), small spaces and screaming kids (probably long weekend thing).

No bear boxes at the camp but signs of bear presence in the area.

Make sure to bring water. The water pump broke and camp didn’t have any water. No notification was sent out. The closest store is 15 minutes away.

Logger campground was great. We stayed a few days for a late season camping trip (September), and everything was enjoyable. Campsites and restrooms were clean and camp host was nice. Sites 75 and 76 were perfect for us and friends we camped with. Although they are not a true double campsite, they are close to share space and still enjoy privacy.
