It was an ok campsite. One small issue was some overhanging trees that we had to deal with when getting in and out of the truck. The worst part of this campground was finding it coming from the north. The sign was located past the first loop entrance. It should have been further north so a driver could see it prior to the first loop. Luckily we had friends that told us the entrance sign was passed our loop and to drive slow in order to see it. Otherwise we would have passed it and had to turn around. Need to move the sign or add another one.

Nice National Forest campground. On Truckee river. Road can be a bit noisy during the day but not bad. We went Mtn biking and was hoping to go kayaking but the weather got cold and raining. Camped with family in 2 truck campers and tent. 4 Sr's, 2 adults and one 1 year old granddaughter. Pit toilets and water. No electricity or dump. Steve was excellent camp host. Very professional and kept it clean and also sold wood. Yes we recommend

I stayed in spot #2 in the morning the sun hit. Recommend to take a canopy. The river is really close but the water is shallow and rocky. You cant swim. Its definitely a nice spot to relax and get your feet wet. It has a nice clean surface to set your tent.
