I have been coming here for years with my family and love this place. This year was the first year we brought a boat and utilized the boat ramp. Even though there are clearly signs instructing no swimming 100 feet of ramp, it was CROWDED with children, on the ramp, on the dock, in the water on the ramp, and around the ramp. None of them knew (or, their parents didnt know or care), to even move when someone was attempting to launch or recover a boat. I almost struck a child trying to back down as they ran right behind my trailer as I backed. Almost backed into child swimming in the boat ramp too. Very frustrating that no one is able to enforce this rule and keep people safe. Would rate this 5 stars if not for this experience.

The reservoir and the trails were awesome. However, the fallen trees all around the camping area was a total nuisance. The downed trees took away so many water bank accesses that it took away the natural beauty of camping being near the waters edge to enjoy its splendor. In addition, it was sad to see that so many trees were removed from the camping areas. I hope the tree service will be replanting additional trees to replace the ones removed.

The camp hosts never came around and the toilets were out of TP the entire time we were there. The site was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. I have camped her for over 30 years and love the lake. I wish they'd clear the felled trees from the shore from the fire last year.

Large campsite near Sugar Pine Reservoir. Spring, early summer may be the best time. I went in August 2021 and the water was very low, the skies were smoky and the rowdy Hispanic group across the street made noise until 2:30am. I stayed there about 10 years ago. There were clear skies and water but a rowdy crowd partied into the early hours. The campground could definitely benefit from strict enforcement of the 10p-6a quiet time.
