We really like this campground. Nice family atmosphere. Great trail around the lake and perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. Plenty of areas for swimming. Site 22 was near the water with a trail leading straight to the shore! Many of the trees in 22 are gone and there is longer a place to put a hammock like the photo shows. This also means a lot less shade. From 2:00 on the site is in direct sun so bring an easy up. Water spigot is across from the site and the restrooms were a short walk.

The most recent photo doesn't show what it actually looks like there. When we got there, someone else had taken over our spot. They stated the camp host told them it wasn't reserved. So we had to wait even longer for it to be resolved. There's bees everywhere so that was unfortunate to my son who is highly allergic.

Campground was nice. The camp host was MIA and no firewood so campers had to scavenge for wood to burn to keep warm and nobody there to police guests. Very dangerous if there was an emergency as there is no cell service either. Bathrooms okay but was running out of toilet paper towards the end of the weekend due to, again, no camp host.

Jeff and his wife were great camp hosts. Everything was clean and stocked and they were both freindlly and welcoming. The walk around the lake was beautiful and accessable. the scenery was breath taking, the water shades of blue and green and clear as glass.
A wounderful, peaceful retreat into nature.

The entire campground sits in a beautiful forest on the bank of the sugar pine reservoir. Most, if not all, of the sites are in the shade, and trails run throughout that lead to the lake. This September, Even with the lake level being low, we were able to take the paddle board out and swim in the cool lake water. This is a great campground.

Site#23 has plenty of space for a family of 4. Nice view of the reservoir and a easy access to the water. Bbq grill , fire pit and Huge bear proof metal storage . Area has a nice 3-4 miles hike loop around the reservoir. Beautiful campground overall.

Great campground, very clean and well laid out. There was a mix up with our reservations and our site was taken (our confirmed reservation wasn't on the list), but the CG host was very nice and helped us find something.
