Absolutely zero cell phone service (not poor, zero) for over 30 minutes from the campground. Roads are narrow, gravel, and many pot holes. Site 26 has a steep driveway and was too short on the top flat part for a 21' trailer and there's a cabin within full visibility of the site, so no privacy. This was far more remote/unkempt than the several nicolet national forest campgrounds we have stayed in.

Sites are small and fairly close together. I like more private sites.

Great campground in the perfect location that felt very remote. We had a cabin next door with high turnover of boaters who were not the best neighbors, and we’d been led to believe we could fill our pop-up water tank onsite which proved untrue. Also, recreation.gov didn’t warn us a fire ban had been put in place, but luckily I learned of that accidentally before we got there.

I have never visited such clean outhouses in a rustic campground setting! What a pleasant experience. Maybe that is a silver lining to COVID.

Thanks for the forest and a place to pitch our tent.
