Everything was clean, very quiet- perfect wooded setting. We loved that there were so many windows you could open in the camper cabin.

Cabin was nice, mattresses on beds were old and need replacing - there were only two of us so we were able to double up the mattresses to make them more comfortable. Screen porch was nice but there was a large hole in the door and one edge was pulled out from the staples. My husband fixed both with duck tape. The cabins would be even better if solar was added.

This campground is on the small side but very nice. We were there at the end of summer and there were very few mosquitoes.

Great campground. Very close to the bearskin lodge and then tons of amazing hikes in the area. Weve only camped in the cabins but there are several campsites along the lake they look amazing. The cabins are well maintained and also have a 3 season porch which is perfect for hanging out without bugs bothering you.

We loved the screened porch of the cabin which allowed us to sit out at night without being eaten by mosquitoes. The site (Tamarack) was close to the vault toilets. The camping sites were far enough apart to allow for privacy. There are great hiking trails that run through the camp. Pets are allowed and our dog loved the water and hiking. We definitely will go back.

We have stayed at the East Bearskin campground cabins numerous times over the past 10 years. They are especially welcome when it rains for days, as it did this trip. (Sometimes we’ve also had snow.) All of these rustic cabins are nice, but simple. The Alder Cabin has had some mice in it in the fall. Nothing that a couple of traps won’t solve. The last occupants left a couple behind for me but I had already brought some. Since each visitor is responsible for cleaning the cabin before they leave, it sure is nice to sweep the cabin thoroughly before leaving. Thanks to those of you who leave the cabin nicer than when you arrived.

Great Campground! Stayed in the Tamarack cabin - perfect as a bunkhouse before heading out into the BWCAW.

Enjoyed the solitude and scenery at East Bearskin Campground. The camper cabin we stayed in was a perfect blend of roughing it and having it easy. There aren't many options like this for those of us who like to bring our dogs along. Easy access to the lake was a bonus and we enjoyed paddling our kayaks and catching a few smallmouth while at it. Definitely plan to be back again!

Really nice campground, really nice cabin. Only issue was some problems with the screens on the little screen porch. That said, we were thrilled to have a screen porch in the first place. Overall, 8/10, highly highly recommend you stay here the night before a BWCA trip. It's so, so convenient to get a good nights rest and wake up early and get them boats in the water.

No heat, no power, a screen porch, a loft and a well built roof over your head-perfect!

Cabin largely well kept, bathrooms cleaned regularly. Porch screen did have several large gaps that should be fixed - esp in eaves where porch meets cabin roof.

Weve stayed at East Bearskin 5 times in the cabins and have loved every minute of it. Its quiet, clean, and off the grid. Lots of wildlife to see and activities to do. We come back every year!
