Pinecrest is great if youre camping with kids. We had a trailer, had to park our tow vehicle in overflow, but it was a nice walk 3/4 of a mile to overflow parking. We recommend the movies too.

We enjoyed Pinecrest Lake and camping, but the bathrooms were very dirty, and the area where they want you to wash your dishes and brush your teeth was disgusting. We didnt even use them. We were there for 5 days and never saw anyone cleaning just filling up the toilet paper.

Beautiful setting, lake, beach and hiking spot. The campground desperately needs new bathrooms and some improvements. Can be noisy at night and the sound carries easy at 12:00 am. One of my all time favorite places to camp due to the location, lake and setting.

This is our second time to camping in this facility. My only major concern is there are no showers at all. We need to drive 20 minutes just to get a shower. Although there is a lake, you still need a shower especially on a hot summer days. Hope they will consider that.

We had a very good experience, the campground and bathrooms were clean and well equipped, other campers polite. The only issue is parking space was limited but we made it work.

We have been coming to Pinecrest Lake for several years now but we have never camped in the snow (May 8-13, 2022). Temperatures were down well below freezing. We camped near the lake and these sites are small and unlevel and very close to your neighbor. Because of the snow storm, most of the campground was empty except for maybe 6 to 10 campers. Unfortunately several of the sites near us were occupied and empty everywhere else. Our neighbor's picnic table and fire pit were closer to our camper than our own picnic table and fire pit. Smoke quickly flowed into our camper from the neighbor's fire pit. Living in California and because of our annual wildfires, we are not fans of smoke but I understand that many people equate camping with campfires. We prefer cleaner air and propane fire pits. Typically Pinecrest Lake is filled with several hundred people with loud kids on bikes and skate boards and filled beaches and hiking trails. It was nice to almost have the lake to ourselves but nothing was open except the store and sport shop. We do not plan to go back anytime soon.
