Its was great. Great place for families. Right next to the lake and general store. Very forgiving for forgetful or new campers. Would highly recommend.

We had quite the experience since we did not expect rain, hail and cold. We thought by going in June, we were ok. Well, it turned out fine. We went with our daughters and their children. They slept in a tent and we had a trailer. Thank goodness for the trailer. The kids had a fun experience walking through water at our camp site and mud and playing games in the trailer when it rained or hailed. It would do that for awhile and then the sun would come out and the kids rode bikes and played in the mud puddles or such. Lucky we did look at the weather before we left home and knew about the rain. Kids all had rain/snow boots so they had different experience. They were disappointed not being able to go in the lake because it was so cold but not your fault. Last year it was in the high 80's when we came so this was a different year. Good part it was not crowded the week we were there. We did spend time at the lake when the sun was out. We did hike around the lake in the morning when the sun was out. I would suggest to anyone coming to camp at Pinecrest to check the weather before you come. Most campsites had puddles of water to the point it wasn't good to park at. We enjoyed the different experience because we were a little prepared with the weather forecast. We brought warm jackets and rain jackets and boots and umbrellas.
