Way too many people for my taste. It’s as busy as Tahoe with a fraction of the lake but the hike to Cleo’s bath was worth it.

Worst adventure to Pinecrest ever. We frequent this campground. Weve been here several times this year. However this was our first time on the A loop. The site was awful. Its in a loop like island with the camp road completely circling the site. It was directly next to the bathroom allowing for now campsite privacy at all. And then there was the issues with bedtime. Its quiet time after 10pm. However that did not stop the families directly behind us from playing loud music and talking loudly along with the family next to them. Who also did not seem to get the memo 6 people to a site because I counted at least 12 as they were talking loudly until midnight. But that isnt even the worst part. 2 people with trailers showed up at 930pm. They took awhile to set up and headlights were shining for over 20 minutes. Fair. But then they somehow that it was ok to run their generator ALL night!! No joke. I have never experienced such camp disrespect. Worst site and night ever. I got up and left at 6am.

The campground was bustling, but everyone was sticking to their own campsite so it was fairly easy to social distance in these good ol' days of coronavirus. My friends and I had a great time hiking around the lake, swimming+kayaking across the lake, building campfires, walking the logs, and overall just hanging out in a beautiful place and reading our books. It was a very peaceful trip.
