Perfect spot! Your 2 cars fit great, additional parking must park at the allowed overnight stay parking area. Restrooms are all over the campground. Make sure to buy your wood for the fire pits, no electrical outlets available. For Day use area/lake you would have to drive there,, it is a walk from this campsite but we personally did not mind.

There were way too many people down at the lake even though the campsite was fairly empty. We were unable to find parking, literally every spot was taken and we had to return to our campsite and carry all our gear from A loop. It seems there may need to be a limit put on day guest to allow campers full access to the facilities that they have paid for.

We are coming for many years and every time we are not disappointed. The hike around the lake is spectacular, you can stop and swim, relax and enjoy the scenery.
I love the coffee shop next to the store, with excellent pastries and friendly owners.
The highlight was in the morning of the last day around 7.30am, I took a swim, the water was warm , calm and it was such a peaceful moment.

Great lake with lots to do, and great proximity to the campground. The beach area is on the border of being over crowded (at least on weekends)...the overcrowdedness is resulting in people leaving chairs, umbrellas, pop-up canopies, etc. at the beach to 'reserve' their spot for the next day. Otherwise, the fishing was great, no big powerboats on the lake. As for the campground, it was well maintained, sites were moderately large and all had good shade (with all the pine trees). People were generally pretty considerate about 'quiet time' and minimizing use of generators. Bathrooms were fine (not spectacular, but not bad either). Despite the literature saying there were some, there were no showers this summer (which turned out to be a big factor for my spouse). It was quite hot during our stay, subsequently everyone was running out of ice (the general store and the entrance kiosk were frequently completely out of ice).
