We have been camping at Pinecrest for 38 years. After reading the article in the SF paper we were expecting the worst. The Dodge Ridge Corporation and rangers definitely fixed any problems that were mentioned. This year the bathrooms were always clean and there was not garbage piled anywhere.

It is a shame that the bathrooms are in such terrible condition we pay to camp and no one pays to use the day facilities at the lake. Something has to be done to better manage the campground. Too many dogs of leash and never see the Sheriff patrol thru the campsites. Such a great place but it really needs some work on the bathrooms especially

Let the customer know that there is no water for RV's prior to them making the trek to your campsite. The website stated showers were available...there isn't. This camping experience was less than what a first time customer would expect. 2 stars is generous. Between the forest service doing prescribed burns and other campers burning endless campfires my lungs were in poor shape when we left. We booked 4 nights, only stayed for 3. Not a place I will return to.

We stayed in mid May so it was very quiet and nice. The water was much too cold for any swimming. Good camping and hiking weather.

Great experience. Only complaint is tight quarters for my class A in C6. Scratched coach on concrete post.

30+ years of camping at PineCrest and this experience was a disappointment. As great of job as they do, the excessive amount of people make it impossible to truly enjoy any longer. Generations of my family have loved our camping and boating trips but people are disappointing and disrespectful and dampen family memories.

Great place to spend time with the family!!!!! No complaints. Well maybe one, I wish it was simpler to book sites. I heard people book 2 weeks in advance to get a week or weekend they would like and then cancel the other dates. Not fair to people who would like to book any time they can but actually miss out the entire year due to people like that. Oh well. Thanks again for a great time as usual!

I am used to going and enjoying the full experience at Pinecrest which includes Ranger Shows, Movies, star gazing under the stars, Mi-Wak stories, basket weaving, Ranger station and warm showers by the Stores. Due to Corona Virus these things are not available right now. You can rent Boats, hike around lake, fish and do Campfires.

Pretty nice campsite but the campground is big so there's A LOT of people here. This likely isn't the best campground for solitude. Very family friendly and the lake is within close walking distance and offers various activities. The campground is also very close to Emigrant Wilderness which offers great hiking trails and some good fishing in the alpine lakes out there. I would consider coming back here again but would likely try to book a site more towards the off season in hopes it would be less crowded.
