Great time of the year to stay at Pinecrest. Smaller crowds and much quieter than peak season. Only downfall is the lake level is very low this time of year.

Had the best time! As alwaysI encourage campground patrol throughout the night. We had a couple louder campsites and overnighters parked at the lakeI just dont know if patrol came or not.

Great campground with flushable toilets and lots of dumpsters available. You can walk to the beach or around the lake. You can see your campsite neighbors but you still have enough space to call your own. Great for beginner campers. Park your car at your campsite and can car-camp or tent camp there.

Pinecrest is an amazing destination. However; in all the 40+ years camping in Pinecrest, I've never seen so many day use people overcrowding the beaches and day use areas. The numbers of people increased daily throughout the week and by Saturday grew to an overwhelming overcrowding of the beaches and day use areas. As the result, there was not enough parking and severe overcrowding of the beaches. Resulting in excessive trash left on the beaches and throughout the day use areas, restrooms including overflowing toilets and sinks. Blatant disrespect of beach and surrounding facilities. As well as extreme blasphemy and disrespect to the forest service and police officials who were trying to keep congestion peaceful. We witnessed more than one police officer, sheriff, and forest service ranger drive through the round-a-bout, which was filled with cars parked in between the NO PARKING SIGNS, and not even stop to give them a ticket. Why are the rules not being enforced? We didn't see and officer give out a ticket till 7 pm when there were only 2 cars still parked in the restricted areas. We come up here every year and pay $200+ to camp and it keeps getting worse. Can barely find a space on the beach. And especially during COVID-19 restrictions, due to this we just spent our Saturday in our campsite, giving us no other option to socially distance. Our campsite was right across from the beach, so we could see that there was no limiting people to these overcrowded areas. It's a sad day when the city, police, government and private officials are unwilling to work together and demand a better use and limit the congestion in such a beautiful place. What happed to preserving our National Forest and Lands???? It's time to impose some restrictions and enforce them!!! I'm sure you could take a pole of all the campers in Pinecrest and Meadowview campgrounds and get very similar opinions.

Always a great time at Pinecrest Lake with boating, hiking and fishing. We love going to the Steam Donkey Restaurant or going into Strawberry for pizza. This is a great place for families to enjoy the outdoors.
