A fine stop but they need to trim the trees as our 13'2" rig hit many branches on the way in and at the site. In fact, our white AC cover may still be there. Very sloppy maintenance as we have not experienced anything like this at other CA State Parks.

The weather was great. I would not bring anything larger than 31 foot. Make sure you stop at the stores. Bring bikes and ride all over.

We love Pinecrest!! Been coming for many years!! Besides having motorhome problems, we had a wonderful time!!

*Power was out as soon as we got there. No snack bar, cash only at the store.
*No camp fires allowed so we froze at night (despite MANY groups still having fires…we followed the rules).
*One of our sites was terrible so we had to pile our party of 6 on one site and literally just use the other site to park vehicles (expensive “parking spot”)
*Pay showers were closed
*Super smoky (no fault of anyone’s of course)
*With everything stated above, it made our stay pretty unenjoyable, so we decided to pack up early and go home. I thought the cancellation policy was 24 hours, but when we check out Saturday morning before the 24 hours, we were told the computer was saying we would be getting a refund for either site. Icing on the cake for our disappointing weekend. I’ve been coming here for over 40 years and this was our worst experience to date =(

The campground is close to Kennedy Meadows which is worth the drive for good food, lots of hiking areas too. Lots of places to stop and hike, or just look around on the way back to camp. The library in the park is great to pick up something to read while relaxing. Let's of places to ride bikes in the local area. Mia's restaurant was great too!

We love Pinecrest. We loved the hiking. The kayaking was wonderful except getting out of the kayak. A 90 pound girl was trying to pull me on to the dock and I fell into the water. A land exit would be safer.
