Great campground. There are a few dead pine trees near sites that need to be cut down especially on Site 34 that could come down in a camper during high winds

We have been coming to Oconee Point for 7 years and it is one of our favorite campgrounds we visit! The sites are easily accessible to the water and most sites have space between sites which gives privacy. The staff that work as volunteers and the front gate are very friendly and helpful. We usually try to stay in sites 33-40. We noticed since last year that it looks as though they added sand to that area and tried to reduce the amount of scrub bushes on the beach. Each year I try to write a review because we want to keep coming back each year and bringing our grandchildren to enjoy the easy access and shallow water.See you on the 4th of July!

Although we have camped at other campgrounds on Lake Hartwell, this was our first time at Oconee Point. We were very pleased with the condition of the sites and their locations along the shoreline!

My favorite campground without a doubt!! The camp hosts are friendly and very helpful! A concern that we have is that native vegetation is beginning to take over the shoreline and it is quickly limiting the access to the water in many of the sites. Please consider a way to mitigate the growth before there is no access to the water.
