Had a great time. Weather was nice and it was peaceful. Loved campsite 60 because it was large and easy to back into and had woods on one side

Site location was excellent, quiet park. My concern was that at night the gate is locked and campers cannot leave or enter after 10 pm. What if there were an emergency? In todays age youd think that they would have keypad access. We were told by the gate man when we checked in that we needed to make sure if we left to be back by 10 pm because the gate gets locked and wed have to park on the side of the road until 7am to get back inside the park. We witnessed an incident where an ambulance came and set off its sirens for 5 mins no one ever came to unlock the gate, finally a car rushed up to the gate. The ambulance then drove away. Dont care how nice the park is if I cant come and go as I please I will never camp there again!

Short lovely drive from Clemson to campground. Campsite had a beautiful lake view! Bathhouse close to site, clean and roomy. (No soap in bathroom.)

Bad weather delayed our arrival;Arrived following morning of reservation, gate keeper seemed confused by this but said she would check us in; later that day we had visitors, gate keeper told visitors we were not on site, I had to go to gate to prove we were on site to allow visitors in this was somewhat annoying but our stay was pleasant

We love this campground! The camping spaces are spread out so you feel secluded! The campground host is so sweet and helpful. This is our favorite place to be. Just wish everyone else didn’t love it as much. It’s hard to get in here! LOL

Well maintained park. Our favorite Army Corps campground.

Other than a mix-up about our site reserved on line not being what we needed or expected everything was very good. The hostess was able to solve the problem, and we were able to get a new and much much better site for what we wanted. "Aunt Mary and Uncle Phil" were both very pleasant, helpful and competent and we had another very nice stay.

I am a single female on my 1st trip in my new camper and had already had a flat on the way to the campground!! I had a week sun-sat stay and while I was there it was a 5 star. However, on the day I was to check out, I had not planned to leave prior to 2 PM. I started packing at 8 am, and the first thing I did was to wash the rugs that were put out on the first day. I had had a couple of days of rain while I was there and the rugs were really gross on the bottom. I elected to wash them first to give them a chance to dry before packing. I went about packing everything else, as well as, walking the 2 dogs that I had brought (which took 30min because I can't walk them together). I kept seeing the host drive by on his golf cart like a hawk circling it's prey! I was ahead of schedule until an unexpected rain storm occurred that lasted 45 mins. I was running around in the rain trying to get the rugs that were almost dry out of the rain!!! Soaking wet, I waited the rain out! At about 2:20 the host is already hounding me to get out and scolding me that I should have started packing earlier! I had brought a compressor to make sure the tires were inflated properly and wanted to check the lug nuts on the tire I had to replaced, but he was rushing me so much!! I pulled out of the campsite at 2:40 w/o lunch and went to the dump station. a mere 40 mins past checkout. I had not dumped since I had been there and was at the station for 30 mins. By the time I arrived at the gate to turn in my pass, I was again berated by the wife of the host "we were expecting you to be gone an hour and a half ago!" I looked at the clock on my console and it was 3:15 and check out is 2!!! Because they rushed me so much I did not have time to check the lugs on the tire that was replaced. I drove less than 20 miles to get to I-85 and felt something was not right so pulled over at a church prior to getting on the interstate and found the replaced tire was about to come off!!! I could have died TY!!!!
