Attractive, clean sites that were very spacious. Wonder view of the lake. Quiet, I cant say enough.

Second time coming to Modoc campground. We love this campground almost all sites have great access to the water. All sites are good sized and clean. most are pull through to. Great for boaters. Bathhouse was always clean and with tissue. Our only issue was that the gates were not locked at night!! Which is way I picked this campground as they lock the gates. Well, we are tent campers and I have two young girl safety comes first. I did say something about this, in which the attendant reply they will be locked tonight. NOPE!! they were not locked. I still will camp here again but will be bringing my sidearm next time. Till next time Modoc..

We like Modoc campground but there is no enforcement of the speed limit, even with the volunteers. It was difficult to walk our dog because there were cars that never even slowed down when they saw us. There were cars going around 40mph.

First the good, amazing host, large sites, peaceful and relaxing. The bad, ants, ants and more ants! They were trying and in some cases succeeding in getting into both our truck and rv. Per the host this is a long standing problem at Modoc. I find it hard to believe the Army COE can't treat for ants!

We stayed at site 20. It is a big area and very level. However, we could not swim or fish at our site due to all the water moccasins. My husband seems to think there was a den of them. No place to keep the boat in water. We had to pull it in and out everytime we used it. The boat ramp area is super small, some days you could
Not even find a parking space to park the boat trailer. The beach area was nice but parking was horrible.

This was a beautiful well maintained campground! We had a site with a beautiful view of one of the many coves on the lake. We had beautiful weather the week we stayed here. We explored the area and walk many miles while we were there. We dont fish, however if you do this is an ideal place as the majority of the sites are right on the lake. Boat ramp if you have a boat. The Whites(campground attendants) were great and were able to answer any questions we had. Enjoyed getting to know them. We are looking forward to camping here again next year!
