I initially was in space 4 and it was really uneven so I was able to move to 3. I think for a tent you could find a level spot but trying to level my pop-up was challenging. The sunset view from both sites was amazing. The bathrooms were clean and the shower was warm. Not a lot of privacy in the showers but it worked for me. I would stay here again.

Beautiful campground, sites right on the lake. We had site #4. Bathrooms were clean, shower head was cheap plastic and the mount was broken. Minor thing. Gate employee and host were very friendly and helpful. Sites are mostly pull thru and give wide private camping spaces. COE is always great. Worst thing is they close up for the winter. (Oct to Mar)Surprise was great T-Mobile cell service, had streaming capability with @ 40mbps using our T-Mobile Home internet box ! Very quiet and uncrowded last week of Sept 2023.

Ants, Ants, AntsI wish we knew to bring ant bait, the ants got into the truck, tent, and anything not sealed. Good news is they dont bite, good for me as they were in my pants.

The campsites all have water views and shade. The camp staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.

I have stayed at this campground a few times. Views are alway great, bathroom are very clean. Camp staff are friendly and helpful. Plan to go back.

Bathhouses were not clean~ the first night, my shower did not drain so I had to stand in the nasty, with floating hair. We went to 3 different bathhouses with our 4 night stay~ and I felt more dirty leaving than I did going.
We always enjoy going to the bathhouse at the campgrounds (as a family) at the end of a great day, but we all dreaded each night at Modoc.

Nice campground, not all sites have easy access to the water. Overall a good visit.
