We had a wonderful time at the site, it was very nice. Clean and just wonderful with the lake water waves hitting the shore line, so peaceful.plan to go back often

Large well maintained waterfront site. Excellent for fishing and swimming. Peaceful and quiet location. Favorite place to get away from it all.

The stay was great as always! The hosts were on the ball! I do like having the ability to get out of the gate (Without wakening the host)

Great campground! The campground is clean and well maintained. Need to have the campground open all year. The campground is located near some of the best winter and early spring fishing on The lake but is closed.

My wife and I love camping and have found that all the places we go Hawe Creek is by far the best camping, only wish it was open all year, we love camping in the winter months and would love to see Hawe Creek open thru the winter months as well. We love the spacious sites and privacy. the host does a very good job at maintaining the camp sites and facilities. The only complaint we have is the shower head is so close to the wall you have to hug the wall to shower. We give Hawe Creek a AAA rating.

My wife and I love camping and have found that all the places we go Hawe Creek is by far the best camping, only wish it was open all year, we love camping in the winter months and would love to see Hawe Creek open thru the winter months as well. We love the spacious sites and privacy. the host does a very good job at maintaining the camp sites and facilities. This was our 7th visit to a COE campground. We had a family get together from 9/7-11/ 2020. Our family meet at Hawe Creek campground near McCormick, SC. Our reservation for three camp sites proved to be exactly right. Upon set up we had a problem, the site chosen for two of our elders had an electrical failure. Being older and with the September heat, an electrical hookup was much needed. Our arrival had occurred late afternoon on the last day of the Memorial Day weekend. We contacted the park attendants, to find that an electrician would be hard to find. The attendants where tremendous and immensely helpful. They found a fix that saved the night and kept our elders from having to switch sites or losing rest/sleep after they had just driven from south Florida in two days.

This is a great campground! Staff was nice and courteous. Site was private and clean. We like to camp in the cooler months also so I wish this place was opened all year round! Please consider staying open all year.
