Absolutely lovely park! The layout is perfect for bike riding and the views are spectacular. The staff are friendly and fun. The bathrooms are clean, the one near 30A needs some updating. But overall, nice. 39A is a unique site. Provided by make a wish. Cement pad and walkway that leads to a cement dock of sorts with guardrails. The end is made for wheelchair guests to be able to fish. So thoughtful. The water had been drawn down so low that it wasn't fish able during our stay. I look forward to going back when the water is up. I was sad to learn Coneross is only open 5 months each year. We camp year round and would love to have at least half the camp open during the winter. I truly recommend Coneross! You will love it!

Love staying at Coneross but the bath houses are not clean! The showers need some work and the toilets are hard to flush!

Really had a great time. This is one of the parks we wish it would stay open year around

Our family of 5 enjoyed a nice stay at Coneross Campground (July 2022). We had one of the many beautiful lakefront sites in the 30s with water and electric and close to a swimming beach. We had to check in after hours, but no big deal, they even called to make sure we were still coming and left info for us. This was only our second time at a COE campground and we hope to hit more in the future - the hosts/staff were very friendly/helpful, the park was well kept, the campers seemed like a very family friendly crowd. There are other highly rated COE campgrounds nearby like Oconee, but Coneross might be an overlooked hidden gem. The lake was not overcrowded for swimming or boating, and the water was very warm in July. There isn't a camp store, so no ice/firewood on site, and not much going on nearby - a few miles to the nearest store (Dollar General or Food Lion) though firewood is available outside the gate. Speaking of gates (and this is my only issue) they do lock the gates 10pm-7pm. This wasn't an issue for us during the stay but we felt it could be bad in an emergency or an unexpected late check in. We had a delayed arrival, and made it by 8:45, but if we had been further delayed it would have been a real problem. No one likes people checking in after dark but sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances. They do post emergency contact info, and I assume the on-site host can open the gate, but I don't know if they're always there. I wish COE parks would implement a rolling keycode gate system, as I have seen many state parks do. Overall though a great time, a beautiful park, and we hope to be back.

Enjoyed our stay boating, playing in the water ,camping and if you dont want to cook plenty of restaurants close enough to go out. Rode to the Grill at the Marina with friends on their pontoon and had a very nice ride and lunch was good.

Love the site sizes in Coneross. It is always so peaceful and quiet. Every site has water access. When at Coneross we always go to the Tri-Star True Value in Seneca, they have great gift items and variety. And, they allow dogs. There is also a Dairy Queen in the vicinity. This trip there were more teenagers then usual so there were some cans and trash on the beach.

We have camped at coneross campground for several years and never had a problem. This year there was one set of people who checked us in that were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Then there was another set who were very rude, not helpful at all and just made us feel like we never wanted to go back. Coneross is a beautiful park but just needs more friendly people running it!

The large, wooded sites at Coneross are definitely a plus. More privacy than your average commercial campground. Views of the lake are beautiful. The sites could use some surface work. It is pretty rocky and not smooth. The bathrooms were clean but very outdated. Some of the shower heads sprayed the water so hard it felt like pins and needles. We love Coneross because of the easy access to the lake and the beautiful sunrises and sun sets.
