We LOVED our recent stay at Coneross Park! We booked last minute (literally 15 minutes before arriving) and had the good fortune to get site #8 which is a beautiful, HUGE, level, private lake front site. Coneross offers all the things we enjoy most about camping - plenty of places to walk, bike, and kayak! I liked that it had several loops and that some areas were flat while others had some slope to them (good for exercise). Many sites were available with direct and easy access to the lake, like site 8. Other sites sit up higher and offer stunning views but make it a bit harder to actually get in the lake if you wish to swim or boat. The campgrounds were clean and well-maintained, although we were not impressed with the bathhouses which were old and just not great. (Not an issue for us since we have our bathhouse with us! But, if you do use it, you will want to keep it in mind.) I do wish they had more access to garbage bins as the only ones are just as you are entering the campgrounds. It was an easy walk from our site, but would be a consideration if we had camped further in. Just something to consider.Primitive campers beware! The loop for tent sites is steep and access to the lake is limited. The bathhouse requires a walk up/down the hill. I would imagine there are other places on Hartwell Lake that are preferrable if you are a tent camper.Since we are seniors and have the America the Beautiful Lifetime Pass, it was only $19/night! Incredible value!!! We look forward to coming back again!

Love Coneross, it's our favorite campground. Only complaint is it's season is to short. May to October is not long enough.

If you want peace and quite, this is it! We stayed Labor Day for 9 days and moved on 3 different sites since we could only get our favorite site for 4 days. All quite, shady surrounded by friendly people. Very clean and clean bathrooms with great water pressure. Will be back!

Everything went well my only comment is they don't seem to be maintaining the grass as well as in the past. The grass by the lake wasn't cut at all and we worry about snakes, my wife was bit by one at the park a few years ago.

Site #8 very large, site not on top of each other. Staff was very helpful. Campground was well maintained. Bath house was cleaned but in need updates. Overall was great experience, definitely will be back.
