Overall it was a good experience. The park was well maintained. The sites were large and spaced well enough apart. Our site was very unlevel. We had park well behind the fire pit - picnic table- grill area in order to level out our RV. The lake level is low (which is not the campgrounds fault), so we did not have a good lake view from our site. We would go back to Twin Lakes, but we would not stay in the same campsite.

Very nice and spacious lots. Somewhat unlevel. Good antenna and cell service. Staff and rangers were extremely nice. Town was 3 miles away. Have a large civil war grave yard in town. Was there the first week of November. Sassafrass mountain was 50 miles away and the ride and overlook was beautiful with the changing of the leaves

This campground is one of our favorites with beautiful water views and scenic trees. We often see skunks and other wildlife here and love being away from the noises of the city. Very peaceful campground.

The site is not that great. A good ways to the water and small. Up on a hill.

We love Twin Lakes and have stayed here many times. This review is big rig specific for site 8. This site was easy access for our 38ft 5th wheel. Plenty of room to park our truck as well.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Campsites have a good amount of space between each other, which is why this campground has became my number 1 pick to go to campground in the upstate of S.C.

We were in campsite #8. The campsites in that area were all very nice and mostly along the water altho not necessarily at the water's edge. Everything was clean, campsite areas, restrooms and roadways. Staff at gate were very friendly and helpful. We visited the South Carolina Botanical Gardens at Clemson which were very interesting and free! They had trails, garden areas and a Geology museum - something for everyone!

On site 8, we had a few problems. The 30 amp breaker tripped a few times. We reported that to the gate office. That was a first for us. Also, the trailer was very hard to level because the ground was sloped at a steeper angle than normal. Most of the COE campgrounds seem to be off level and need attention. The sites are large enough and the view is great. I have never seen a dirty site. Prices can not be beat and usually it is very quite. We have used COE campgrounds for years and will come back to Twin Lakes many more times. It is better than the state parks and more economical.

We have camped many times at Twin Lakes, never any complaints. However, after arriving on 8/23, our campsite was nowhere close to being as depicted in the website picture. We had reservations for the week prior, but due to storm damage at home, and impending approaching storm, we had to reschedule. We paid the $10 fee for rescheduling, trying to find online a good site for our 35' RV. It took us @2 hrs to finally find a fairly level spot in the site to make our RV usable, and although the picture on the website showed a fairly level walk to the water, it was anything but. We had no chance of getting our inflatable boat in the "waterfront" lot lake access. The only view we had was of the campers below our site. We left a day early. That being said, Twin Lakes has never disappointed us in the past. The sites are always very clean and well maintained. Staff always very pleasant and helpful. AND....we have been issued a refund for the final day that we did not stay. All in all, this is a very nice campground. Just do your research/actually checking out sites ahead of time when possible as the pictures can be very misleading!

We spent a week April 2021 with family in sites 8 and 9. Absolutely beautiful. Not as good of a lake view but still waterfront. Site 9 had steps from the site straight down to the water. We walked down the stairs and right onto the pontoon!! By the way site 9 had a perfect shore for the boat. If you need some tree therapy these sites are the ticket. Spacious sites which is common with COE. PEACEFUL AND SERENE!!

Friendly staff. Level sites. Clean facilities. Beautiful views. Spacious and quiet even when campground is fully occupied. Very reasonable fees. Grocery stores and restaurants reasonably close. A true 5 star experience.

Campgrounds are 1st rate. Always clean and well maintained. Staff on site is helpful and friendly. That being said the reservation process is cumbersome and sometimes downright difficult. Websites do not show site pictures so difficult to see what you are reserving.
