Campsite #3 was nice. Very spacious, shaded, and private. It was a far walk to a bath house. Was very disappointed in the condition of the bath house. Could use some serious updating. Dont really care to be locked in with no way to get out of the campground before 7am. My son was fishing a college tournament and we needed to leave the campground at 6am to attend the blast off. They allow parking outside the gate but I don't like leaving my vehicle unsecured.

Bath houses could use a major update. Very dark and had issues with water not staying on in the ladies showers. Had to keep pushing button every few seconds!

Fortunately, I hit a week of perfect weather. Been camping at Twin Lakes for almost 30 years and have always enjoyed this campground. Skunks have been reported but I didn't see any. I also enjoy beaching my boat right there at the campsite. The campground attendants are very helpful and kind folks. You can't go wrong at this park in my opinion. Two thumbs up.

If I am not mistaking, the Twin Lakes front gate is locked at night directed by a county ordinance. This was the only negative thing I could say about this campground. We stayed for four days and hunted the surrounding WMAs for our whole stay. The gate being locked at night was pretty inconvenient, every night we had to park our truck outside the gate and walk to it early in the morning. I've never stayed in a gated campground that didn't allow after hours entry and exit by using a code or some other means. Great stay otherwise!
