Beautiful campground with amazing lake views and large sites! Ours was tucked up in the woods which was wonderful. Close enough to Clemson, Pendleton, and Anderson for shopping and restaurants. I would give it 5 stars except there's no heat in the bathhouse. We camped in October so it was pretty uncomfortable showering on those 40 mornings. Also no soap dispensers or hand dryers by the sinks so you can't wash your hands after using the toilet.

Campground is easy to get to and appears to be well maintained. The host was very friendly in informative. My one criticism would be that many of the site are difficult to get into if you have a big camper and the road thru the park can be challenging for larger rigs. However if the right site were available would gladly stay there again

This was our third visit to Twin Lakes from our home about 3 hours away. We tent-camp and stayed 4 nights in #16, a beautiful site with acccess to the water and lake views more than half way around. A nice, clean shower house is conveniently located, just up the hill about 200' away. There was a torrential rain and thunderstorm one evening, but the site was no worse for wear and water drained well, leaving no pools to deal with in the morning. We liked the positioning of the fire pit and charcoal grill. (Note that this campground does not sell firewood.) We enjoyed the beatiful scenery and the relative privacy of the site. There were occasional forays of boaters into this cove, but not many, and it was not loud or intrusive. The only real problem we had was one many other reviewers have mentioned since at least 2017 -- skunks! I recognize we are in nature and should be prepared to deal with the occasional sighting or interaction with wildlife, but this was far beyond the norm and I feel it is becoming dangerous. The skunks have no fear of people and are not deterred by light or fire or noise. I never have food out and we hang our trash bags out of reach, so there was nothing at our site to encourage the skunks, but every night they were trolling our site on multiple occasions, making it difficult to enjoy sitting outside. Not only was it startling to see them coming through the camp site or walking the retainer walls within inches of humans, but I feel the problem has surpassed "nuisance" and is becoming dangerous. Anytime an animal which has a potent weapon and is known to carry rabies becomes unafraid of humans, trouble is brewing. Despite the beauty of the campground, we do not plan to visit Twin Lakes again until this situation is remedied.

We love Twin Lakes and would have rated it higher with one BIG exception. Our sites were overrun with skunks at night. It was impossible to relax around the campsites without multiple skunks wondering through. We had to constantly be on watch. They weren’t afraid of people, lights or noises. It would definitely cause us to consider other places.
