We were fortunate to get the remaining lot in the park for that week. To us it was great. It was in a cove that had a great view of the lake. It was a packed gravel level lot that our class b backed in no problem and didn't have to level. There was plenty of room between neighbors. Camp fires were allowed and the park allowed picking up limbs to burn. There was plenty of hardwood to find. The park does have buddy lots so if you want or don't want that, be selective. There were no hiking trails that we saw, so hiking was basically walking the roads which wasn't bad. Wear tennis shoes, hikers not required. As for the kids, there were plenty of playgrounds around the park for them. For fishing, our cove was void of any bottom features for fish to hide, so I didn't give it a try. The point and next cove over had plenty of trees and rocks that would have been worth the walk. The weather was windy and cold one day and nice one day so didn't want to pay for a temp license for only one day. There were plenty of OTA channels available.The one disappointment was the bathrooms didn't have soap dispensers or paper towels. They were clean and usable, but don't forget to carry soap and something to dry hands with, ugh... Showers were fine. I believe our area had the oldest unit and for winter camping, there is only one unit in the part that stays open year around. Overall, I would definitely recommend camping here and will use again.

Twin Lakes campground has fantastic lake front camping. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The host on duty was super helpful and friendly.

I love camping, just me and my fur baby! Twin Lakes is a great place to relax, enjoy long walks as I view the lake surrounding me! The bathhouses are cleaned every day and I've never had any issues to complain about. Twin Lakes has a lot of great spots for my 17 footer and I'm always sad to leave but I know I'm coming back soon!

Site 4 has a Brice beachy area to beach your boat, very spacious

What an amazing experience! This site was right by the lake with some great expansive views of the water. My 2.5 year old goofball of a dog swam for the first time; and we had an awesome time cooking, making s'mores and chatting under the star lit sky at night!

Wonderful site on the water. Very peaceful on a great section of Lake Hartwell. The campsite Hosts were very friendly!
