Great campgrounds and hosts are always courteous and helpful. Campsites are spacious and waterfront.

Beautiful level sites on the lake. Easy access to the lake on many sites. Clean restrooms. Have already booked our next visit!

This is such a beautiful campground. Very friendly staff. clean park. The only problem is with the people that reserve sites and don't cancel when they have a change of plans. Whole place showed booked but had many available sites during our stay. This is a very common thing at a lot of state parks as well. Rather frustrating when traveling. Anyway, I do hope to visit this gem again.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds we have stayed in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Site was great. We will definitely be back. Hopefully longer next time.

Overall the experience was good except for the following issues:
1) Wasp nests at the playgrounds. I understand we are in nature, but the playgrounds should be checked a minimum of once a week for bees nests. We had several children stung multiple times due to this issue. One of our children could not even go to the playground because she is known to be allergic to bees.
2) Skunks are a huge problem. We could never enjoy our evenings relaxing on our campsite or playing games because of the skunks. We had 3 to 4 that visited our site every evening. We had to put all the children to bed no later than 9pm so that they were not bothered by the skunks. Again I understand this is nature. However, that large of a problem with skunks needs to be dealt with. There is no reason why these skunks cannot be removed from the campground.
I can honestly say we will probably not visit the campground for a while due to these issues. Also, when asked by others, I will definitely advise them to steer clear of this campground because of the skunk issue!

We LOVE this campground. It is our favorite. The hosts are always welcoming, and make us feel that we are coming home. The only problems we have had the past two years are with skunks. We are careful. We take our trash to the bins before we go to bed. No food is left out. But we have had a skunk in our site the past 2 times. Once, my husband and dog were slightly sprayed when my husband was walking our dog. We now have dog skunk shampoo in our camper. No spraying this last trip, but we smelled skunk smells several times at night when we were inside our camper. Seems they could maybe catch, relocate, and release to a different location where not as many families. But we will return soon!!! No skunk can keep us away!
