This is a wonderful campground however be careful if you book site 98. The site shows a 35 foot camper will fit but I will not book this site again simply because the site is smaller and the pull through is a sharp turn. We have a 29 foot travel trailer and it was too tight a spot for me to book again. Overall the campground is great and very close to Clemson Univ.

Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds are the best! Every one that I have stayed in has been exceptional. This is a beautiful campground with spacious level sites right on the lake shore. Everything works! Bathroom/shower houses are cleaned regularly. Because the gate is locked late evening and opened early morning, this seems to discourage rowdy types so staying there is a tranquil experience. Other campers were considerate and quiet, basically invisible unless you are lookin right at them. Loved that! There are several COE campgrounds on Lake Hartwell. I have stayed in Twin Lakes and Oconee Point - they are both definitely on the repeat list!

This was our third stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The park is peaceful, well maintained and the hosts were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back next season.

Beautiful campground with clean facilities. The only complaint were the skunks. Two of them came poking around our site right as it got dark on our first night there. Luckily, I was able to get our dog away in time. They came every night. I had to stay in the camper with our dog during the nights because I was afraid he would get sprayed by one. I couldn't even enjoy a campfire during my stay because of this. I understand when you're camping in the woods this is something you may come across, but I've never had this problem at any other campground in the area. Just be aware at night, especially if you have a dog.
