Nice place to stay. Site was easy to get set up thanks to level ground and pull through design. Plan your activities carefully, because the gate closes at 10 PM with no way to get back in.

TWIN LAKES IS A BEAUTIFUL to camp, relax and enjoy the scenery. sunsets and sunrise beautiful! The campsites are large, private, and each one offers unique perspective of the lake. Highly recommend, particularly in the fall when leaves are falling and there is such color. Also, try a day ride to pendleton. What a charming little town so close by!
My only complaint is the site we were in #30 literally sits right next to the road. It was not as private as other sites. People at the office were very friendly and helpful. We have been to many Army Corp of Engineer campgrounds. This one was not as nice as others. Also beware of the skunks. We left our outside lights on at night to try and keep t hem away.

This COE campgrround remains a jewel on Lake Hartwell. Sites are shady, large and well maintained. Very few are not directly on the lake, and all are water view. Convenient to area towns and shops but quiet and remote feeling. Clean restrooms. Site 30 has a view of Clemson stadium across the water to enjoy fireworks with each touchdown!

I love staying here! The views of the mountains behind the Clemson stadium are beautiful. It’s usually pretty quiet and very calm for our stay. I only gave it 4 stars because the water access from the sites can be steep, rocky , and sketchy. But that’s the lay of the land, so I can’t really complain. It’s still one of our favorite campgrounds on Hartwell!

We absolutely love Twin Lakes. It is our favorite campground in the South Carolina upstate area. The staff is so helpful and friendly and the park is always maintained and clean. There showers are conveniently located and again always clean and nice. There is a lovely beach area with many sites on the water with easy access to the lake along with modern playground equipment for the kiddos. Twin Lake provides a fire pit and grill on each site with lots of distance between camp sites. I don't believe there is a bad site at this campground. We have got two more vacations planned this year at Twin Lakes for this very reason.
