Great experience with this campground. Clean bathrooms, lake was beautiful. Great set up for on the actual campground layout. They offer free lifr vests to borrow which is cool but we didnt swim. Came here since there were no hotels in the area while we evacuated florida. The rangers were amazing, they did their best to help give advice when my cat got loose. Havent found her yet but I look forward to my next stay to search some more fot my baby and explore more of this lovely area. Thanks rangers, you made a bad situation much better with your help. You are angels.

I was disappointed with my latest visit. The restroom was so dirty, with cob webs between stall walls, and dead gnat bodies all over the sink and floors. When I mentioned this to a park attendant, he said it wasn't his responsibility to review. REALLY?

Quite a few hiking areas within a short drive.Had an electrical problem with the 30 amp circuit but was taken care of first thing the next day. Host was going to loan me a 50-30 adapter but already had one.Site 58 is a very short walk to the shower house. Not really lakefront but no neighbors close or on the campsite side.

Twin Lakes is a hidden gem. Right on Lake Hartwell it is beautiful and quiet. The volunteers keep it clean and everyone is friendly.

Skunks everynight at our campfire and no one cared
We were told that there wsds nothing that could be done
When drove into campground at nite we would see 3 to 5 on side of grass i wont camp here again with skunks around. They need 2 wash outs side by side the small one us useless for large campers..

As always the campground was clean along with the bath houses. The only negative is I heard of the skunks at night and had never had any issues. I never saw one but the smell was obvious they were nearby.

Twin Lakes are or favorite camping grounds on Hartwell lake. The only thing is in the winter they only have one bathroom open, when ask why is this they told us because the one bath house that is in the most logical location on that loop is not winterized according to the park attendant on duty. I asked him why don't they get some kind of work order to have it upgraded, he informed us that it would be a waste of time. I don't know if anyone ever reads these reviews but if you do you should go see for yourselves how much better the campgrounds would function with this closed bathroom open for the winter also. I also think it would bring in more campers during the winter months. Robert Eaton
