Cute little campground. We enjoyed our stay there. The lake is small but looks nice, and there are several benches and fishing decks spread around it.

This campground is up in the woods along a very good road, but is only for small vehicles vans no trailers. The campground is hosted by two wonderful people, the bathrooms were extremely clean and smelled good. The campsites were large and had lots of foliage between each site, really enjoyed our time here . The pond is beautiful and theres great trails to walk around. There is no water so bring your own for everything.

This was by far one of the best kept Forest Service campgrounds we have stayed at. The bathrooms were immaculate -- they even smelled good. The hosts were a friendly couple who helped us with directions to various places. The campground was small and very quiet. A really nice place to stay.

The people next to us had very loud screaming crying kids, but other than that the campground was nice.

We loved this location. The campsites are clean and well maintained and the site is quiet. The bathrooms are the usual pit toilets with no sink to wash hands but the hosts thoughtfully provided some hand sanitizer which was nice. There is only one hiking trail out but it's long and very beautiful. Not a lot of sites but they are relatively private and everyone was quiet.

This was our first time camping here and it was also on Memorial Weekend. The site was clean on arrival with a picnic table & fire ring. On one side of the table, the sitting bench was taped off for repairs, which didn't bother us at all because we used it for other stuff. This site is right across of the restrooms (which were always clean and didn't smell). Keep in mind, this is not so much of a private site. The picnic shelter is nearby but thankfully it was not in use while we were there.
We would definitely return, as the hosts there were very nice and did a good job in maintaining the place.

We are fairly experienced campers so we are familiar with the in's and out's of camping reservations and associated manners.

I hate to be the one that doesn't give this place 5 stars -- maybe I went on an "off" weekend. At any rate, the dog situation here was out of control. Nearly every site had an off leash dog making it impossible to walk the half mile loop around the lake; I mean, some folx didn't even have leashes at all. Heck, even the host had an off leash dog. Our dog is now dog reactive if approached by a dog after being attacked 4x by off leash dogs. We have his behavior under control but off leash dogs are not something we can control. We are very intentional in choosing our campsites to only choose facilities were leashes are required.

We expect some sort of commotion, after all, we aren't booking a private campground. But the small dogs that barked non stop and the talking at all hours of the day made for an impossible-to-relax weekend. Despite my wife's love of fishing, she wouldn't even fish due to the noise and commotion.

Unfortunately, we won't be back to this location.

Very well-maintained by attentive camp host. Gets a lot of people coming in to fish for the day, but stays relatively quiet at the site we stayed at. Tent pad was pretty rocky. Bring a hammer for stakes and sleeping pad for yourself.

Very quiet and tranquil on a weekday. Great camp host. The site is on a large open area with a grill shelter. If the campground is empty, I guess you can drive around the lake and find a more private first-come site. But when there are no people, it feels like the entire lake is just for you. Make sure to drive up the mountain top.

Camp hosts, Tom and Joan, were wonderful! Their extra touches could be seen, and smelled, in the vault restrooms. I was impressed with how well the trail was cleared since the last time I hiked there, the trail was quite overgrown.

It was so peaceful minus the fact we decided to go when there was huge lightening and thunder storm lol !
The lake is gorgeous, the trails are fun and beautiful to walk! Tons of cute little creatures! They had a play area set up for families! ?? 10/10 would recommend and will be coming here again in nicer weather!

Love this place - super quiet and rustic, just what we want for a weekend getaway. Outhouses are clean, hosts are friendly and helpful.

Our hosts were attentive and went out of their way to help us. They offered a different campsite when they saw we were not happy with the one we reserved, they helped me inflate our dingy with their personal 12v, they were very tolerant of our barking dog and were just genuinely good and sweet people. The campground was calm, the lake was beautiful with flowering lily pads and an abundance of salamanders. Many families, all very respectful. And 2 beautiful trails: a short one around the lake and a much longer one up towards South Lake. Highly recommend this place!

The care takers were so very nice. It rained like crazy, but was so beautiful. Outhouses were spotless. THANK YOU!

My reserved spot was taken by someone else, there was a glitch in the system and overbooked two different parties, but the camp hosts were super awesome about making sure everyone had what they needed and everyone got somewhere to stay! Great little place!

Love the tranquility here! We come here at least once per year. Campground is quiet, restrooms are clean and smell good considering they’re outhouses. Camp hosts do a good job of maintaining the grounds and keeping an eye out.

The hosts were fantastic, it was quiet, and it was perfectly clean.

The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. The camground is very well kept and clean. Sites are perfect. Enjoyed the campsites around 6-7-8. Sites number 2-4 are less private. Climate is different than the beach, it's great in sunshine and, when it's cloudy, it's more like a cloud forest. Close enough to the coast to visit there or to the cheese factories.
