Lovely campground centrally located for exploring the coast! Be aware that some of the sites are not very level. My original site had a steep drop so I had to change due to my vans clearance. Camp Host was great and helped me out!

This is probably my new favorite campground in Oregon! Doug was the best site host we have ever met, very attentive and friendly and everything is kept very clean. The campsite was fantastic and we had such an incredible weekend! Thank you!!

This is a wonderful campground. We try to book this campground whenever we can because of its location and amenities. Not all sites are the same. We had site 34 and it was tiny, exposed, and rock hard in many places so we couldn’t hammer pegs into the ground. We also bottomed out in a RAV4 entering the drive way. This will be a nightmare for lower clearance cars. For an RV, it’s probably nice. For a tent camper, not so nice. Wish we weren’t charged the same amount as sites that had probably 10 times the amount of space and privacy as our site.

Great spot to camp because it’s so close to the nearby sights. The bathrooms were clean. I would stay here again.

The camp host, Larry, was very helpful. The park was clean including all of the restrooms. It was a very rewarding visit.

The trail system leaving from the campground and up through the visitor center is one of the best on the coast for hiking in old-growth Sitka Spruce forest. The Cook's Ridge/Gwynn Creek loop is the best hike to see these big trees. The campground is a little old and some of the camping pads need attention. Site 34, in particular, has a dip in the drive that kept us from being able to back our trailer in. But the small size of the pads keep the big rigs out, which means way fewer generators. This is a favorite campground for tents and small trailers. And the access to the rocky coastline is also a big plus here.

There’s quite a bit to see, especially along the coast, and the campground is restful.
