Beautiful flat beach. You can ride a bike all the way to yachats. The wind blows and blows. Weather report says 58 degrees but with windchill feels like 38 degrees. A calm sunny day would be a dream. Right on the beach. No showers. Clean flush toilets.

Clean park. Helpful camp host. Very easy to setup camp. Enjoyed the ocean.

I'm always impressed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and of the campground. This time was no different and I was also impressed that the camp hosts had to deal with flooded campsites. My campsite was clean and ready for me with a reservation sign on the site post. I was camping during the King Tides and the sound of the crashing waves at night was a lullaby. My only complaint about Tillicum is that the campsites that back onto Hwy 101 are very noisy and dark. I would not reserve one of those spots. I have been to Tillicum many times and always enjoy the easy access to the beach for my dog and me, although this time with the super-high tides beach walking was no a good idea. Both Waldport and Yachats are within a short driving time for provisions and restaurants. Cape Perpetua is also close by, and offers some challenging hikes in the Coast Range as well as easy access to shoreline attractions such as the Spouting Horn.Highly recommended for families.

DO NOT RESERVE #19 unless you are a motorhome under 25ft or less or towable under 20. This site says 40 ft. That is a lie. You cannot get in or get out without tearing up your rig. Never saw anything like this horrible spot. In general the campground should NOT allow any rig over 30, just driving around on the road, limbs are low, bushes stick out. Save yourself a headache if your a bug rig and keep moving on.

We love this campground. It's small and beautiful with great access to the beach. We spent three nights here in June 2021 and it was supposed to rain, but never did. It's great that there are reservable as well as first come/first served sites. We didn't travel from the campground or beach as we just loved being there. Great walks on the beach, fires on the beach, sunsets.

We had a wonderful time. Very clean, especially the bathrooms. Not enough water pressure. But everything else was fantastic!!!!

This campground is a gem. The location right next to the Oregon coast is extraordinary and the sites are mostly clean and well maintained. The live-in managers were present and available to help with questions when I needed it. Even though it was full the weekend I was there, it was very quiet. Everyone was respectful and calm.
I paid for the first night through the recreation.gov app (and had to pay the online reservation fee, as well as electricity hook-up, even though I was tenting and didn't need the electricity). So the first night cost me $52. It was an interior (inferior) site and my view from my table of the ocean was completely obscured by a ginormous RV parked lengthwise on the ocean side. For the second night I was able to snag a first-come-first-served (FCFS) site right on the ocean front side, and only paid $26. That was awesome!
One of the ocean-side FCFS sites (29?) has a huge flooding issue and is basically unusable. Why hasn't management figured out how to clean that up?! It's a nice site with good views, but the lake under the picnic table and around the fire pit makes it impossible to navigate.
I'm heading back to this campground the end of May for one night (reserved through Recreation.gov), with, again, the hope of snagging a FCFS site for the second night. I love being able to wake-up to the ocean view, having only paid $26 for the privilege. Thank you!

On the smaller side. All sites were spacious amd most have excellent ocean views. Clean bathrooms and easily accessible beach.

A well run , well designed campground. Sites have vegetation with some privacy. Bathrooms cleaned regularly. There are reservation sites and some first come first serve sites if you are feeling lucky. The staff are willing, helpful, competent, and friendly. The stretch of beach is spectacular with staircase entry, & great for a long walk enjoying the seaside. Between Waldport and Yachatz a camper can purchase almost any needed supplies, shop for fine art, get good food, outfit the dog, the kids, the family or get the car fixed, the dog washed, or fingernails painted.
