We love Sutton campground! Its the perfect base to go north to beaches or south to Florence for shopping and restaurants.

Awesome campground with great spots that have good privacy and old growth, the only downside is no showers.

We had a very enjoyable 4-night stay in January. The weather was sunny every day. It got a bit cold at night, but we stayed warm. We had a nice campfire every night. This campground was wonderfully quiet. We love the new shelter in the group camp on A loop. Beautiful addition to this area. The construction is top-notch and sturdy.

Nice and quiet. Great neighbors. We love this campground. Just don't plan on a short walk to the beach, it is more of a hike. Lots of hiking trails in camp. Close to Sutton Lake and a short hike to the dunes.

We love camping here. They have great sites and we love walks and meeting other campers. Its a great location. But they have new hosts and the bathrooms were dirty. There was poop on the bathroom door, toilets and floor the whole time we were there. I have never experienced that before there. Luckily I had a bathroom in my trailer.

Liked the campsites, lots of vegetation buffering each from others. The new campground hosts were very helpful, and kept the bathrooms squeaky clean.

We really enjoyed our time at Sutton campground. It was nice and quiet. The wind was really blowing the trees around, but we didn't get much wind in our camp spot.

Sutton was excellent as always! It was a very rainy spring weekend (March 30ish) which was fine in our travel trailer but would have been miserable in a tent. The thick foliage provides good protection against the wind. Some sites have puddles with this level of rain - again, not a problem in a trailer, but I wouldn’t recommend it for tents.
A local tip I learned this trip: You can go to the Siuslaw Public Library for internet access and it has fun kid activities.

We love sutton lake camp ground. we live less than 7 miles from it and still like to go there to camp. it is great to live where others want to go on vacation.

Beautiful campground. Sites feel secluded with all the vegetation. Close enough to Florence for grocery shopping and restaurants. We had no problem fitting with our 30 travel trailer and truck.

There was a campfire restriction in the campground area even after 1½ inches of rain. I find that ridiculous. It was finally lifted during our stay. Let's be realistic and use common sense for your guest who are supporting your program.

Although this campground doesn't have direct beach access, we always enjoy our stay here. Many of the sites are very private and there are multiple nice walking trails around the dunes areas.

Camp sites are well spaced with vegetation in between sites so you have some privacy. Camp host was nice but they were out of fire wood, but there are plenty of places near by to buy some. Large area to walk or bike ride in. and out of camp. We had an electric site that was nice at a reasonable price. Camp ground was real short on waste water dumps and a trail dump site when leaving would be nice, we went to Honeymen campground to dump.This is our second time at Sutton and we will stay there again if we want to be in that area again.

A-15 Electrical only. Stayed one night. Great, private site and easy to back into with our 22ft. trailer. Easy to level our trailer. Lots of undergrowth to shield from nearby campsites. The clean restrooms were very close. The entire place was so quiet. Much more pleasant experience than the mega-campground south of Florence.
We'll be back on another trip to spend more.
