This is a nice site, roomy and private, but there is a steep dropoff down to the creek at the back edge of the site, so it wouldn't be good for small children.

The campground itself is pretty nice for a forest service campground with clean flush bathrooms. Around midnight, somebody came through with a truck with a loud exhaust playing rap music at concert level decibels. They circled the campground two or three times and then spent about a half an hour at the bathhouse. Im an avid camper, but did not feel safe staying in this campground and would not stay here again. This camp would benefit from a locked gate during the wee hours

Our camp site was incredible, but we couldnt stay in it because the smoke fromThe wildfires in the area were too much. My boyfriend has a trach and it would have been too hard on his neck. I do wish the website would have mentioned something about this before we drove the 2 hours to get there

Nice spot. Pretty quiet after Labor Day. Great trails all around. Good base for exploring north to Yachats, Florence and south. Super clean restrooms. Would be helpful if site pictures were available. An external site has them if you poke around. And you want to. A few sites looked a bit awkward if wou like nice and flat.

Enjoyed our one night stay here. Easy access off highway. It was very quiet. Having electricity was a plus that made us more comfortable. We would stay again.

This campground is so well kept up. The bathrooms are always kept so clean! Love that the campground is so big to take walks! I do wish that the spots were wider for your trailer!

Well maintained, enough space between the sites, restrooms clean & well supplied, large trashcans available, trails well maintained.

Very clean bathroom, but no showers. Lots of water spigots and a large site with a high fire pit. Very quiet!

Sutton Campground was extremely clean and well taken care of. Bathrooms were well stocked and clean. Never saw any litter. The camp hosts were attentive and kind. We were there for 4 days/3 nights so we didn't mind that there aren't any showers.

We have been camping at Sutton for years. We like doing the group camp in loop A. Almost every year in August. Is always a good time.

great campground with helpful camp-host. But the trees heed trimmed over the road, they scraped along the roof and the side of my RV

Awesome campground with great spots that have good privacy and old growth, the only downside is no showers.

First, a shout out to the campground host couple, who keep this campground immaculately clean (even the bathrooms). (This was quite a contrast to Cape Lookout State Park, from which I had just come, and I appreciated it).I solo tent camped at Sutton for four nights in Site A7, which is reasonably private and shaded by tall trees. I would come back, and I would stay in that site again. Though my stay included a late June weekend, the campground was uncrowded, quiet, and respectful. I found a nice trail that starts next to the group campground in Loop A. I walked on Heceta Beach, a five minute drive away - it's a wide beach with a long expanse in both directions - excellent for dogs (I'd been there before with my dog before she died last September). I drove a few miles north to the half mile trail to Heceta Beach Lighthouse. It's a nice trail with well graded wide switchbacks and great views, and at the top are friendly volunteers with spotting scopes set up trained on lounging sea lions and common murre. I went into Florence one afternoon for clam chowder, ice cream, and a bookstore. I didn't get to the Hobbit Trail, but that's another option. I'll come back to Sutton and to Site A7 again (and this time I'll ask the hosts their names :-)

This was a nice, spacious campground. Right next to the bathroom. The town was so cute, and this campground was very close. There are a good number of mosquitos, so bring bug spray.

A very nice, well maintained rustic park. Reminds me of camping when we were young. I like having access to electric on some of the site. For those in RVs, no threaded water hook ups in the park, so be prepared to fill your water tank manually or bring your water with you. Camp hosts are very nice people, and the fire wood is both reasonably priced and great quality. Fun activities nearby, with dunes, beaches lighthouse and the town of Florence nearby. A big thumbs up for this campground.

Spotless bathrooms. Even liquid soap available at the sink

There is only one 30-amp plug available. If you are camping with "normal" 3-prong plug bring a converter to plug into the 30-amp configuration. The campsite is fairly private with the fire ring tucked away in the bushes. Plenty of room to set up a large tent and a nice grill on the fire ring to cook on. There is no water hookup but there is a spigot nearby.

We were in #16 with a 25' travel trailer. The site and whole campground were very clean. The hosts were very nice and worked hard at keeping it that way.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
