I love Waxmyrtle! It is small, quiet, and located near the ocean, with access to nearby rivers and lakes for kayaking. I've stayed here many times. The only drawback is that nearby is a campground for Dune Buggies and ATVs, and sometimes they run all night. Which is extremely loud.

Love this site! Only about a .75 walk through beautiful forest to the deserted beach where elephant seals were lounging around. It's unfortunate that OHVs sometimes make a lot of noise. Honestly, they should be banned outright from all public land. But otherwise, this is a perfect camping spot, especially if you choose your site wisely. The proximity to Florence is another plus.

This particular site (#41) is like a ramp. No chance to sleep there. Had to rebook.

This campground was very nice and cleaned. The sites were nice and private.

The site where we put the trailer was site 41. One side was 6" lower than the other. Glad I had some 2× 4 to level it out. The picnic table had big holes from dry rot. The camp host was really nice and we were able to pick a bunch of Huckleberies.

The design of the site made it challenging to level, especially after a long day of travel. We did make it up to the bluffs in the morning, and watched a family of otters, much to our delight.

Wonderful campground along the Siltcoos River. Great separation between sires. Clean bathrooms, and plenty of hiking, kayaking, and biking opportunities. Loved loved this place. Will return.

The campground was very quiet. The bathrooms were kept very clean. We enjoyed our visit on the coast.
