Be aware when booking that the online campground map has some of the camp site numbers shown in the wrong locations.

This campground has odd sites that are very close to a neighboring site with no visual/physical barriers. We were in 019 which is conjoined with 020 and also quite open to the road. Other sites have better privacy but this is impossible to discern from the online campsite map. The bathroom was well kept and clean. The campground was quiet and friendly although we heard some ATV noise from the dunes during the day. The lagoon is more of a marsh than a lagoon but the nearby Siltcoos River is fun and pretty for paddling. The trail out to the beach from the campground is lovely and the beach is beautiful.

It is a lovely campsite and we had a good time. We had a few problems in that the campsite we selected was not the same one that was portrayed on the map. It was across the street and right next to another large site, so no privacy. The map should be updated. We were able to modify our reservation on the same day and that is a great feature of recreation.gov but of course, we had to drive several miles to get internet service. We were able to select a new campsite that was quite private. The ATVs in the surrounding area were noisy.

Better than most because not many people there.

A wonderful little spot! Ventured here on a whim and was mildly concerned because it was a campground with availability the final weekend of spring break, but we were pleasantly surprised! The campground is very quiet, except at night when we were bombarded by the crickets and frogs. The sound of OHVs was noticeable, but never went too late into the evening. The trail around the lagoon is lovely, and we are already planning to stay again in the future!
